News from the APAM Sanctuary

We begin by apologising that we don’t get to write information as we would like, when it happens, but unfortunately our situation is getting harder and harder! Work is overwelming us in every aspect: taking care of the 100 animals of which most of them are handicapped, old or blind, with 3 or 2 legs, paralysed plus always dealing with emergencies. Beside all of these things, we have a lot of work in the greenhouse, at night sport lessons to keep ourselves in shape and often to take care of our animals too when the money isn’t going to be enough from donations alone.
The first piece of news is not so good, about the little dog hit by a train, that was still alive but awaiting her death. Fortunately we managed to reach her in time, right before the next train was about to come and rush her to the clinic but her wounds were too bad and she didn’t make it…We will never forget her eyes, her look full of fear but gratefulness that we took her…

The second piece of news is pleasant for us when we know that our hard work with raising the 7 nursing puppies wasn’t in vain (one didn’t make it). All 6 that survived and we mananged to raise them until they were all vaccinated and ready for adoption, now have families and are super loved and happy!

Another news is about the little puppies that were abandoned in a horrible place, full of garbage, no water or food and most of all in constant danger! Luckly we got to them on time and took them from that place and now they are 2 lovely ladies with all their vaccines taken care of, simply awaiting they forever families to take them home! We named them CLEO and COKA.

We thank you for having patience to read or news and we try to always keep you close to us!
