Today our dear boy Tedy, who has been in APAM Sanctuary for 14 years stopped moving his back legs. We ran to the vet with him for investigations! Us and the vet will do all we can to get him back on his paws…we can not possibly describe in words what we feel now..lately we have gathered so much pain in our soul but today we feel like it was the worst of all days.
UPDATE:
We took much joy in Tedy’s walking again: sadly, it lasted but a few days. We returned with him to the clinic only to hear the dreadful verdict: Tedy, our dear boy who jumped all the fences causing us to continually rack our brains for new solutions to stop him, he who was always bursting with life and energy, would never walk again on his own. He would have to be helped by a dog wheelchair, for mobility and support. However much need to fight for him, though, we’ll do it with all our hearts. He keeps looking into our eyes as if apologizing for becoming a burden, but we continue to encourage him and let him know that for us, even in a wheelchair, he will always be Tedy, our dear boy.
